Family with children suitable base
We had a double queen bed room that was newly renovated. The shower was excellent, felt like high-end stuff which I never expected from this place. The beds were very comfy, my son practically jumped on it when we arrived.
It wasn’t inexpensive, but frankly, it was acceptable for what we got.

Excellent location near Central Park with convenient access to subway stations makes exploring the area a breeze. The charming vintage decor adds a touch of character beyond the standard hotel fare, creating a welcoming atmosphere that's hard to find.
Room size felt cramped, even for Manhattan, lacking adequate storage with only a few hooks on the wall. Our window overlooked a brick wall, resulting in almost no natural light. a serious drawback. There's no dedicated lobby space or communal areas for guests to unwind, which is noticeable given the limited room sizes. The two small elevators can only carry two people at a time, making it a struggle during busy hours. Breakfast requires navigating a busy local bakery, leading to long queues before 10 am and limited seating options inside, often forcing guests to take their meals back to rooms that can barely accommodate a small table.

Couple getaway with some hitches
The location was excellent I could go to Central Park with just a short walk and the subway was close too so getting around was easy. The staff was also very friendly and helped us store our luggage after check out so we could explore the area before heading home.
It wasn't exactly cheap for what we got though it was still acceptable for a decent stay.

Had an awesome trip with friends! The location was perfect for catching Shakespeare in the Park and exploring Central Park Zoo. The rooms were spacious and clean with comfy beds. Staff went above and beyond to help us out. Would definitely recommend for a fun getaway!
The kitchen area in our room was kind of pointless since we didn't use it at all. There were no coffee supplies, and we lived out of our suitcases due to limited storage. But overall, it didn't ruin our trip.

Charming Historic Ambiance with a Few Hiccups
Enjoyed the vintage charm and spacious lobby for relaxing. The coffee shop served delightful pastries. Best to ask for a room away from the elevator for better peace at night and try to secure a fridge in advance to avoid extra fees.
